As soon as I posted me mom was getting better and improving, it seems like we have taken ten steps back. Last Thursday, September 9th my mom has a seizure. Luckily the nurse that comes to our house, Charity, was there and was able to administer CPR until the ambulance came to the house. We have been in the hospital ever since. She is back at Henry Ford in Macomb - same room, actually! She aspirated into her lungs when she was having the seizure and has now developed pneumonia. Just yesterday she was admitted back into the therapy wing in the hospital. My mom is weak and needs lots of prayers. It is amazing how a seizure can take such devastating toll on the body. She once again is dependent on the help from the nurses and us. Watching my mom struggle repetitively is hard. I pray for the day when this is all over. I want her to get better so she can come home and enjoy life once again. The small tasks that we take for granted - eating, bathing, dressing, walking, and even talking are a current battle. I know that she will rise above all as she has proved to us that she can.

So I ask for your prayers again as my mom is continuing to fight. This just goes to prove that everyday is a blessing and to cherish it. I will keep updating as my mom progresses through her therapy at Henry Ford. We are anticipating around three weeks or so.....
